Article 3: Advanced Settings – The Web App Dashboard

How to Access the Dashboard

To access the advanced configuration menu, your phone must be connected to the Carple Duo’s internal Wi-Fi:

  1. Connect the device to a power-only USB source (like a wall charger).

  2. Join the Wi-Fi network: CARPLE-XXXX (Password: 12345678).

  3. In your browser, go to: 192.168.1.101

Key Menu Functions:

  • Power Start Delay: If your car boots up slowly and doesn't recognize the device, increase this delay to 5 or 10 seconds. This allows your car’s head unit to fully start before the Carple Duo tries to "talk" to it.

  • GPS Toggle: If your map location feels "jumpy," try toggling the GPS Enable/Disable switch. This tells the device whether to use your car’s high-gain antenna or your phone’s internal GPS.

  • Firmware Updates: Click Update to ensure you have the latest compatibility fixes for new iPhone and Android releases.
